For the first time this season, Flight Deck recorded the highest number of wins for the week and thus gets top billing this week.
Flight Deck hosted Pioneer B this week for one of the highest scoring matches of the week. Flight Deck was led by Mike who shot a 140 and assisted by Keith with a 121. Josh turned in the highest score of the week with a 145. In the end, Flight Deck won 15 to 4.
A minor upset occurred this week when Hideaway B played Moose and scored 5 points. Now this might not seem like much, but last time these two teams played, Hideaway came away empty handed. Moose won 14 to 5 with high scores turned in by Dean with a 140 and Conrad a 125. But the real stars of the night were Hideaway’s Al who won both of this singles and Anna who took a double 3 out to win the team game to give Hideaway their 5 points. As Hideaway showed, it’s not always about winning. Sometimes it’s just about respect.
Hideaway A was visiting the Cabin Tavern and also walked away with 5 points, but I don’t think that is what they wanted. Cabin shot solid darts all night, while Hideaway struggled most of the night. In fact at one of their low points, no matter how hard they tried Scott and Tom could not find a double-on and was skunked in their doubles match. Something you don’t see very often. The big guns of the night was Mike for the Hideaway scoring a 135 and Rob for the Cabin shooting a 125. Final Score Cabin 14 Hideaway A 5.
Buckaroo stunned Pioneer A this week beating them 11 to 8. There were several good scores called in, but the only one I will mention is John from Pioneer who scored a 140. I think the biggest outcome of this match is Pioneer will probably be looking for blood next week when they play Cabin.
I want to thank everyone who called in, please remember to let me know if the scores are for high-on’s / off’s or just points. Thanks again and I’ll talk with you next week.
