Carpentiers KO’d Hideaway A this week to all but lock up first place in the Downtown Dart League. Hideaway A won only one match, losing 18-1 to Carpentiers. RJ was the heavyweight for Carpentiers, starting two games with a 130 and 115 on. Ty for Hideaway answered with a 112, but even with Jason shooting a 140 it wasn’t enough to stop the bleeding. Not only was the 18-1 the worst lost of the season, but it also knock Hideaway A all the way down to fourth place, and with only two weeks left in the season I am not sure they can recover.

With two wins this week, the Cabin Tavern moved into second place. On Tuesday, the Cabin and Hideaway C played a make-up match from 17 January. Lead by Don’s 120 on (all double 20’s) Hideaway C fought hard, just barely losing 10-9. The Cabin’s second match was against Pioneer this week. With Rob from the Cabin stepping up when needed and shooting a 140, the Cabin won the match 12-7. The combined wins gave the Cabin a combined 22 points and second place.

Hideaway C must also like playing twice in one week beating in house rival Hideaway B 11-8. Once again, Don was the big gun scoring both a 140 and a 120 to help his team win.

The final match of the night was also the closest. Buckaroo out-danced Club Oasis to win the match 10-9. Mike from Club Oasis was swinging hard, with a 140, but Keith counterpunched with a nice 125.
