How did you get started playing darts?
I started playing with my mom when I was about 15. I subbed on her Alaska Nugget teams several times until I was 21 and old enough to play “without adult supervision”. This is my 3rd year in soft tip darts, so I haven’t been playing nearly as long there.

Steel or soft tips?
Both, if you can master steel tips, there’s no reason you can’t be good at soft.

What do you feel is your best achievement to date in darts?
Hmmm, that’s a tricky one. I have a couple 1st place finishes in medalist league. I took a first at medalist world championships. Just snuck in my very first 3 in the black about 4 weeks ago. Did capture a 1st place in local team NDA. Honestly though, when some one knew they weren’t going to be able to finish a season, he asked me to step onto his team and fill his shoes.

What do you do for a living and fun other than darts?
Dispatcher / computer games / paintball / movies / books / There’s life outside of darts?

How do we make Alaska darts better?
Stop focusing on the top end players so much. 90% of players aren’t the top A players and so much of what we do is dictated by them. As an A player I still think it’s wrong. We should reward people that shoot good and congratulate them. Not scream about sand bagger this and that. Too much of that has driven people from our leagues. The bump up pins given during tournaments should be positive and the negative aurora around it needs to go away. If you shoot well you need to be rewarded, bottom line, and screw those that whine about it. Alaska Nugget league needs to pull it’s head out of it’s A#$. I think that’s about all I’m going to say about that.

Where’s your favorite Alaskan place to play?
PJ’s, unless I’m at the Copperlanding Classic.

Any thing else you want the readers of Alaskadarts.com to know?
I like strolls on the strip in Las Vegas.
Jerry and Coke is he best combination.
Watch out for Margaret Hale, she seems to have a knack for getting people wasted.
